Monkeys Found in Uganda
All the monkeys found in Uganda are members of the family Cercopithecidae (Old World Monkeys). They fall into five genera:
- Colobus (closely related to the leaf-eating monkeys of Asia),
- Cercopithecus (guenons)
- Papio (baboons)
- Erythrocebus (patas) and
- Cercocebus (mangabeys).
